Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is understood that it is one of those important engagement for us in today’s time. The landscape of CSR has changed quite a bit but at the same it is important for the Jesuits and collaborators to enter into the same especially those who are working with the social development sector.
On the 22 nd January 2021, an online training on CSR Fund Raising was conducted by Jesuit Conference of India/South Asia. Nearly 107 participants from various part of the Conference (India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Pakistan) had attended the session.
The session covered on various aspects of CSR such as, the fundraising landscape of CSR, initial steps, need for CSR, impact of CSR, CSR Bill 2013, CSR trends, amendments of FCRA, Donor Relationship, things to do after receiving funds, Fund Raising for Faith Based Organization and many more. There were interactive discussions based on the presentation and most of the queries were addressed appropriately.
Manager Resource Management and Programme Partnership, CDO-Mr. Charles Dinakaran began the session by introducing the resource person Maria Peres, Fundraiser in the Social Sector.
Dr. Siji Chacko director, CDO added, by saying that one of the establishments has been to tap local resources and to be engaged in local resource mobilization.
The purpose of this online training session was to build the capacities of the collaborators and partners who in the coming days would approach for funds to various CSR’s
