Kolkata, Date: 27th – 31st August 2019: ‘Change the Game Academy’, 5 days’ workshop organized by Smile Foundation in Kolkata at Seva Kendra. The focus of the workshop was to empower and encourage Local Fund Raising (LFR).
‘Change the Game Academy’ workshop that was open for all the NGO’s. Around 20 participants representing their organization from within and outside the state. The training session on all the 5 days was very interactive and full of insights.
During the training session many questions and doubts were clarified. On day one training session opened with a detailed discussion on ‘the need of LFR for an organization.’ Throughout the five days program many different aspects and point were taken into consideration, discussed and was a part of training session such as;
- Identifying donors
- Making LRF plan
- Ways of presentation
- Communication aspects
- Corporate Reach
- Different ways and sources of income etc.
The training program was completely activity based, which proved to be very effective in terms of learning and practicing

This training program gave a lot of take aways in terms of ideas, new concepts and learnings.
The program also gave us new perspective to write project proposal. This five-day session was a great help for all the participants to walk forth and make the fund raising programs and events sustainable.
